Attempting to identify the latest bulbs to bloom in the new bulb garden:
I thought I had it all figured out... but now I am not so sure. I thought they were bearded Iris. But after visiting a garden show last weekend, I am thinking they are a type of Louisiana Iris. A rare type. A type that sells for $10 a bulb.
Attempting to identify my newest visiting friends:
I've figured out I have cardinals, blue jays, blue birds and sparrows.... now I am trying to narrow it down to the kind of sparrows. There are A LOT to choose from.
Putting the bigger island to use:
What did I do without it??

Isn't it fun when Spring arrives! Only thru God's Creation - somehow my yellow / orange lillies are about to bloom - - thru no effort of my own. I'm amazed - they are about 6 or 7 years old - I guess it's true when they say "it all takes time". - - U.R. welcome to some 'bulbs' if you so desire.
Now - about your visiting Spring Birds - - While sitting in my Front Porch Swing, I have discovered the arrival of beautiful 'Woody Wood Peckers' ! Yes - they have the beautiful RED top (resembles a 'mo-hawk hair piece') and white Shiny chest - - and beautiful shiny black back - They are simply gorgeous as I gaze at them from my porch swing. Actually they only go to one tree - - They visited last spring and they only stay @ my house during Spring - not summer. The red birds came during the snow - and are still here. They actually eat the crumbs that "Kitty" leaves for them. - Amazing !
And, I'm waiting for my beautiful 'blue hydragenea' bush to bloom. My wonderful cousin gave me a cutting - - well actually I had to do all the digging up of the cutting - and am so sore from the effort - - but it was well worth it! I certainly hope mine turns out as beautiful as hers does each year! - - Only thru God's Creation!
We must take a trip to Sis' House and view all of her beautiful blooming arrays.
