Vacation week number one recap

Vacation day number one (Tuesday)   At Walmart, before the sun, getting last minute hurricane prep.  Cleaned out and arranged garage. Moved everything from back porch and front porch into garage. Hurricane guest number one arrived. Washed, cleaned and cooked a big dinner. Frantic call to husband, "bring home more coffee".

All kinds of random

Vacation day number two (Wednesday) Sore from cleaning the garage yesterday. Hurricane Isaac arrived, rainy and windy. Watched news coverage all day and checked on friends. Hurricane guest number two arrived.


Vacation day number three (Thursday) Cooked breakfast then laid in bed reading until meeting girlfriends for an after hurricane dinner and a make-up shopping trip at CVS. Hurricane guest number one left.



What? Someone else to pet me?

Vacation Day Number four (Friday) Husband now unable to take vacation due to hurricane damage at his job and I am bitterly disappointed. Promised a big vacation at Thanksgiving. Made myself feel better by shopping. Coldwater Creek (candles on sale), whole foods (butter and a magazine), Loft (nothing), Black House White Market (nothing), Ross (nothing), Burger King (Whopper, Jr), Dillard's (bra), Lush (three bath bombs), Talbot's (nothing), Limited (nothing), New York and Company (nothing) Starbucks (tall iced cafe latte), Albertsons (Fruit and flowers).

Vacation Day Number five (Saturday) More therapy. Ann Taylor, Gap, Banana Republic, Bath and Body Works (nothing from any of them), Chick-fil-a (kids meal with lemonade), Target (spent two hours browsing and buying all kinds of random things), Starbucks (tall iced cafe latte); date night with husband at Steakhouse, started organizing two downstairs closets and preparing lesson on Revelation for Sunday School class.

Vacation day number six (Sunday)  Early morning trip to donut shop. Sunday School, church for a custom message preached just to me about the storms in life messing up your plans, cooked lunch, made coffee concentrate,  read in bed, nap, hurricane guest number two left, husband brought home dinner, did laundry and cleaned kitchen, piddled around the house, made plans for a mini-get away later in the week.
