Keep a freezer bag in your freezer Throw in chicken bones, half eaten roaster chicken from walmart, not so fresh carrots, celery, green bell peppers, and onions. I even save the ends of the onions I cut off when I'm chopping onions and the yellow onion skin.
Fill the crockpot with water and empty the bag. Cook on high 8 hours. Drain.
Viola! Chicken stock for the freezer.
It works for me Wednesday.
