My friend's little surprise gift and her stylish shoes |
I am thinking.... I might be superwoman. This morning before work I did both Bible studies (this one and this one), filled the bird feeder outside, cleaned an ice chest for storage in the garage, straightened my hair and stopped and got gas. I impressed myself with my productivity this morning.
I am doing.... a little too much holiday house-walking (over here)
working lunch |
I am reading.... almost finished with this book. Its over 600 pages so its quite an accomplishment.
Quote for the day: "Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God." I John 4:7
I am wearing.... blue pin striped suit (very old from Ann Taylor) and my new (short sleeve!) blouse from black Friday 50% off sale at Ann Taylor.
In the kitchen.... the three Christmas lambs have found their way to the kitchen window.
I am planning.... Christmas dinner. Thus far the menu is: Honey baked ham and fried turkey, corn bread stuffing from Zeeland Street Market, and corn casserole and whatever my mother in law feels like cooking. Menu will grow as time goes on.
I am thankful.... rain forecasted this week. The poor azaleas are looking thirsty. I have every intention to visit them with the waterhose. I blame the day light savings time. Its pitch black when I get home and the azaleas get the short end of the stick.
A peek into my day.... participated in my favorite activity today, spreading a little encouragement among my wonderful friends. One friend received two cookies (these cookies) and a note with a Bible verse (this one) and the other received lip gloss, two cookies and candy. No reason. Just to make them smile.
I am linked up with the Simple Woman's Daybook here.

I am loving the weather you know. Your Christmas lambs are precious . Have a good week!!
Hey, I love the Christmas lambs!
What a neat way to spread encouragement amongst your friends. I usually do cards, but I like the idea of lip gloss and cookies better!
Kudos to you on finishing your 600 page book. I started on a biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, which is 600 pages, but stopped in the middle. I'm going to have to pick it back up.
Yes - "Christmas is in the Air" - and I'm enjoying it ! This is such a beautiful time of the year - - but is already going by so quickly - - but will enjoy every day of it - with both family & friends. Have a wonderful week ! Those lambs are cute! Don't forget the 'choir boys' ;>)
darling blog title...
All that food talk is making me hungry. :) And a 600 page book is definitely an accomplishment.
