Monday, Monday, cant trust that day

Can you believe its
strawberry season already?
Around the house
I just completed 3 daily tasks from this spring cleaning website that I'm completely obsessed with.

Around the house, part two
I'm happy to report all Christmas decorations are officially in the attic and not sitting in my upstairs office (thanks to a productive Saturday and a helpful Husband)

Around the house, part three
My gardening is looking shameful and I have a long list of things that need attention starting with severe pruning of some unruly rose bushes, new flowers by the kitchen door, planting more Camilla's, and adding a bird feeder in view of the kitchen window.

I am thinking
imageDespite 3 prescriptions,  this respiratory infection is winning. Saturday, I felt better and thought I had finally turned a curve. I had the most productive day I've had in a week followed by feeling rotten and sleeping all Sunday afternoon.

I am planning
So many organizational project running around in my head...

From the Kitchen
Sunday night dinner: Baked chicken and steamed veggies
Monday dinner: left over pizza
Tuesday dinner: Chicken pot pie (from left over chicken)
Sometime during this week I'm making these no bake oatmeal and peanut butter bites

No joke! We're serious over here.
5 different kinds of King Cake in my office today

I am looking forward to
Fat Tuesday, the official end of Mardi Gras 2013 and no more king cakes until January 6, 2014. I have just about O.D'd at Gambino's.

My latest predicament
Two Camilla Shows scheduled at the same time.  This one  and this one. and I have to pick only one. Rats.

I am reading
My January reading plan was to finish all the books that were sitting around half read. It  was somewhat successful, just a couple more chapters to go.  But more books already picked up. One is required reading from work (this book) and one I've taken on myself (this one).

I'm linked here with the Simple Woman's Daybook

Glad you are feeling better. Those camellia shows is probably just what the doctor ordered to get that spring feeling going.

Hi Bobbie~ Thanks so much for visiting The Times and for leaving a comment. You have a fun blog. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I like the quote by George MacDonald for those days that don't "feel" productive: "Work is not always required. There is such a thing as sacred idleness." God bless you. Hope you visit again.

Hi Bobbie! Thanks for visiting The Active Mum! Sounds like you are very organised :) I'm a huge fan of those spring cleaning and organisational websites too - they are such a huge help! We had to move 4 times in 3 years recently and the tips I received online for decluttering and organisation were amazing.

I hope your feeling better soon, sounds like a nasty infection you've been fighting.

Best wishes!

Aanika Xx
