chicken and dumplins part 2- the dumplin part.

Get out the broth and chicken and start heating it up.


Mix two cups flour with

1/4 cup sour cream

and 2 tablespoon baking powder
and 3 tablespoons butter cut into small pieces


and 1/2 cup milk


Make the dough, roll it out and cut into strips. When the chicken broth is bubbling hot, add one strip at a time. (see why I do this in two parts and didn't tackle it all in one day?)


 and make layers with the strips, put butter and a little milk, salt and a lot of pepper between the layers. Turn to low. Stir gently once or twice. cook for 15 minutes on low.


and I've got a memory on a plate.

and a really filthy kitchen.
