I made french toast

to say "I made french toast" is an understatement. In truth, I took over the kitchen Saturday morning, dirtied almost every bowl I have, used two loaves of bread (one raisin and one wheat), exhausted myself and made a mess. I tried two different versions,  one I call the healthy version here, and one I'll call the not as healthy but delicious version here. One was made the traditional way on top of the stove, and one was made by first making what turns out to be a caramel glaze and then baking in the oven. Both were made for freezing for quick breakfast on weekday mornings. Both were flash frozen (on a cookie sheet in freezer), then wrapped individually. Both batches are currently resting comfortably in the freezer waiting to be picked for a quick early morning week day trip in a hot toaster. Of course, both were heavily taste tested and I can report that both are delicious.

Ok, this is totally fabulous. I love the idea of having french toast from the toaster. I will definitely give this a try and both sound sooooooo good. Thanks so much for joining Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
