31 days of simple organization:: Day 6: Put a geranium in your cranium.... I mean an ice chest in your trunk

An ice chest in the trunk of your car can solve all of your problems. (Not really.) It will guarantee you have a great day. (No, it wont.) It will make you look like a million bucks. (Not true) It will give you joy, joy, joy, joy down in your soul. (Nope).

But if you have an ice chest in the trunk of your car you can suddenly:
  • go grocery shopping at lunch and throw in a bag of ice (or a bag of frozen peas) and go back to work
  • get stuck in traffic and not have a breakdown about the frozen food melting in your back seat
  • make it safe to eat your leftover lunch since its been sitting in a cooler while you run more errands
  • bring food to give to a family after church without having to go home to get it first
  • unexpectedly find a frozen or dairy bargain and throw it in the ice chest
  • have water and snacks on a road trip (even an unexpected one)
  • visit the roadside market.... which means the guy selling fresh shrimp out of his truck
  • bring your own lunch or snacks to meetings or events outside the office or after work
  • offer the UPS man, a construction worker or a homeless person holding a sign some cold water (in Jesus name)

This is a brilliant idea! Especially since I live 45 minutes from the nearest grocery store (and I love the idea of shopping at lunch time!)
