Pinterest testing

My goal: To actually do one or two of the great things I've seen on Pinterest each week.

Pinterest said: Two cap fulls of vanilla in the oven makes your whole house smell good. It's a relator's trick!  (here)

My test: It smelled good for 10 minutes in the kitchen only and it was really difficult to clean the pan the vanilla was baked in. It did make the inside of the oven smell good for a few days.  I'll stick with using a Bath and Body Works candle.

Pinterest said:  Give homemade cookie dough instead of cookies so they can make cookies anytime (here)

My test:  I already do this and it works wonderfully  (although my containers aren't that cute)

Pinterest said: One cup of baking soda in the toilet for one hour and you'll have a sparking toilet (here)

My test: It was clean, but I wouldn't call it sparkling... it was no cleaner than when I put a squirt of Lysol and swish it around, which takes one minute, not one hour.

Pinterest said:  Healthy cookies with no flour, no butter and no sugar (here)

My test:  It worked.

combine three overly ripe mashed bananas with 1/3 cup applesauce,  1/4 cup milk, 1 1/2 to 2 cups of oats, vanilla, cinnamon and a handful of raisins or chocolate chips or both. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Next weeks Pins will involve more baking.
